It Didn't Start in a Marketing Meeting.
It started behind a chair.
Hairbond was founded in June 2008 by Scott Michaels, then owner of The Cutting Room in Lancaster.
Working with people's hair every day makes one thing obvious: the label on the jar means nothing if the product does not perform when somebody sits in your chair.
Hold matters. Texture matters. Application matters. The way a product smells matters. And the finished result has to make the person wearing it feel better when they leave than when they arrived.
That thinking became Hairbond.
Not a range designed backwards from a supermarket price point. A professional styling brand developed around the problems people actually have with their hair.
